The Landscape Roads of Albacete are itineraries that run through the regions of Sierra del Segura, Sierra de Alcaraz and Campo de Montiel, La Manchuela and Mancha Júcar-Centro and are designed so that you, as a visitor, can enjoy both the destinations and the route. Travelling along the Landscape Roads of Albacete you will find numerous magical environments and you will be able to contemplate our landscapes in a different and peaceful way with any type of vehicle, so that you can live your own Road Movie.

The only greenway in the province, which crosses the entire region to the capital, Albacete, with a distance of 94km. It links up with the Segura greenway in Jaén.
The construction of the Baeza-Utiel line (1) began in 1927 and was abandoned in 1954 without the train ever having run. Today it has been recovered as a Greenway and Nature Trail.
This itinerary takes us to know the city of Albacete, to cross the plains of La Mancha, to stop in the fresh fertile plain of the River Jardín, to contemplate the birdlife in the Arquillo Lagoon and in the Ojos de Villaverde Lagoon, to cross silent tunnels, to advance through a mountainous terrain in the foothills of the Sierra de Alcaraz, to know the tradition of the Sanctuary of Cortes and to pass through Alcaraz, the city of the Renaissance; Reolid, where a few metres away we will find the Estrecho del Hocino, to continue to Villapalacios and the Sierra del Relumbrar, and finishing in Bienservida, whose church will not leave you indifferent.
Peñascosa | Hiking | Cycling | Starlight
Circular route with a distance of about 12 km, starting at the Refugio Fuente de la Peña . Continue along Cañada de Bogarra towards the refuge, past the crossroads and after 200 metres turn left towards the river Cortes. Next to the fire-fighting water pool, turn left and return towards the Refugio de Mal Paso . Once we reach the refuge, we ascend towards the path that leads to Caballería. Return along the asphalted road in the direction of the Refugio de Mal Paso and at the location of the Pino-roble we take the access road to Portelano. When we reach Portelano we turn left and take the access road to the Refugio Fuente de la Peña, arriving at the starting point.
Duration about 4:30 h. with moderate difficulty.
Balazote | Hiking | Cicyling | Starlight
Circular route that starts from the town hall of Balazote under the foot of the Iberian sculpture of the Bicha de Balazote. It makes a small urban route through the village; the Church of Nuestra Señora del Rosario from the 16th century, we pass by the "Casa de Arriba", house-palace of the former Counts of Balazote, we leave Balazote crossing the park and monument dedicated to the Working Woman.
During the route we will visit different points of interest, such as the hermitage of Santa Monica, the hill of San Cristobal - the highest point of the route, from which you can enjoy a privileged view of the Sierra de Alcaraz - or the hills of El Tesoro. A walk of about 11 km through the most historic areas of Balazote.
Villaverde de Guadalimar | Hiking | Cycling | Starlight
Francisco Ríos González, alias "El Pernales", a native of Estepa (Seville), was the last of the Andalusian bandits. Fleeing from the Guardia Civil, he arrived in a strange land for him, together with El Niño del Arahal. He met his death in the area of Las Morricas (Arroyo del Tejo), in Villaverde de Guadalimar.
If we wish to visit Los Picarazos (rock formations with spectacular panoramic views), we must take the Arroyo del Tejo path at the crossroads of the Pernales path. We will ascend until we find a Yew tree (endemic species) more than eight hundred years old. Once we have observed this rare tree in the area, we continue along the path until we reach some strange rock formations, from which we can observe a wide panoramic view.
Bienservida | Hiking | Cycling | Starlight
This is a beautiful route, in the heart of the Sierra de Alcaraz, in a privileged environment, with a demanding slope that will delight hikers.
It starts at the Campamento de la Sierra, to head towards La Pileta. We will ascend to enjoy the views of this mountain from a viewpoint. At its highest point we can find the Millenary Yew Tree. On the way down we continue along the same path to the starting point.
Povedilla | Hiking | Cycling | Starlight
The fountains route is made up of different itineraries to walk around the pools, fountains and ponds of Povedilla. These routes will take us through very different areas. The landscapes of Povedilla are so varied that each itinerary will take us through a different landscape: holm oaks, olive trees, crop fields and the fertile plain of the river Povedilla.
Alcadozo | Hiking | Cycling | Starlight
A hiking route of around 10 km (suitable for children) in which we visit several unique trees in the municipality of Alcadozo. The Pino del Guapero, a majestic pine tree more than 500 years old. The Carrasca de la Vaca, an immense holm oak with a diameter of almost 30 metres. An impressive natural monument that has seen more than 1000 years go by. We will also see the Almond Tree of El Molinar, La Viga Gorda, La Carrasca de la Era, El Pino de la Era in Casasola and a curious pine tree in the shape of an "S".
Casas de Lázaro | Hiking | Cycling | Starlight
It is said that Casas de Lázaro is the place where the air begins to be purified, as this is where the first foothills of the Sierra de Alcaraz begin. The town preserves the remains of water mills. It is surrounded by pleasant vegetation, offering the traveller outstanding spots to enjoy nature and leisure activities.
Pozuelo | Hiking | Cycling | Starlight
We begin our route by visiting the Parish Church of San Bartolomé. Its spacious interior is neoclassical and dates from the 18th century. Inside there is a sensational piece of imagery that depicts the figure of Saint Joseph, sculpted by Roque López, (1810).
Continuing along Calle de la Iglesia, we come to the 18th century Casa-Palacio de los Coroneles, with two floors, a large tower and a carved doorway. We head towards the Calle de la Torca, opposite the Plaza de la Iglesia. Just 5 km from Pozuelo we come across "La Torca".
An extraordinary "cuco" survives the passage of time as an example of traditional agricultural architecture.
